Fruity Italian Polenta (grits)

Fruity Italian Polenta (grits) for breakfast is a nice change from overnight oats (oatmeal) and takes only 5 minutes to make.

You boil 3 cups water. Take off heat and stir in one cup polenta (bought in the cereal section near the oats. Bob red mill is what I used). 

Add 1 tsp vanilla extract (I prefer the alcohol free kind). 

1Tbs ground flaxseed (for your daily omega 3 fats) 

One smashed ripe banana (2 for more sweetness or you can add a Tbs of maple syrup or date paste). 

1 tsp cinnamon. 
Top with fresh berries. And some unsweetened plant milk. 

My toddler loves to share this meal with me. Its enough for 2.
